Key Points Long‐term outcomes were similar in patients treated with first‐ or second‐generation drug‐eluting stents (DES) for saphenous vein graft (SVG) lesions. Patients presenting with acute myocardial infarction as a result of occluded SVG may derive some benefit from the use of second‐ versus first‐generation DES Randomized clinical trials are needed to determine whether newer DES types including those with bioabsorbable polymer or scaffolds offer a distinct advantage in the treatment of SVG lesions.
