Splenic artery aneurysm (SAA) is a rare condition, mostly treated with surgery. Usually an incidental finding, prevalence varies from 0.04 to 0.10%. If left untreated, SAA carries a high risk of rupture and high mortality. We describe a 53‐year‐old male patient with SAA, where a balloon‐expandable, polytetrafluoroethylene‐covered stent was used for treatment. The stent remains patent without any leakage after 2 years. © 2010 Wiley‐Liss, Inc.
