Percutaneous renal artery stenting has become the treatment of choice for renal artery stenosis. In‐stent restenosis (ISR) still remains a persistent problem. Drug eluting stents have significantly reduced the incidence of ISR in coronary arteries. We report a case in which recurrent renal ISR was successfully treated with paclitaxel‐eluting stent implantation, using intravascular ultrasound guidance, with maintained stent patency at 6 months. © 2006 Wiley‐Liss, Inc.
