Abstract This chapter discusses the collaboration among the California Community Colleges Chancellor's Office, the California Employment Development Department,and community college practitioners to develop an administrative data‐matching system to meet accountability mandates. The chapter delineates the many benefits of collaboration when matching student records with records from other administrative databases and examines how completeness of external databases can affect outcomes.
