Recently a colleague was telling me about a group game they had played with children in a partial hospital setting. It involved a values auction where group members could buy different values written on the board with monopoly money. At the end of the auction the children discussed the values they had purchased and the reasons why. I was surprised that the 9‐ to 12‐year‐olds were as invested in the game as they were. My colleague noted that the skill of the week was “living your best life” and that groups that week had focused on values and value clarification.
