Group cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) was the only significantly effective psychotherapy in reducing anxiety symptoms post‐treatment and at short‐term follow‐up, a network meta‐analysis of trials for children and adolescents has found. If replicated, the study may mean that group CBT is the first choice of treatment for anxiety disorders in children and adolescents.
