Suicidal ideation and suicide attempts for youth present very differently than for adults, and clinicians should be vigilant in looking for risk factors, researchers have found. For the study, published in the Journal of Pediatrics , researchers examined the trends associated with child and adolescent suicidal ideation and suicide attempts, and compared them with adults. They found that risk is particularly great during the school year.
