This spring, hundreds of children were separated from their parents as they tried to cross the southern border into the United States. The separations were part of a Trump administration immigration strategy. U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions ordered the “zero tolerance” policy. Since early May, the number of separations has been 2,342.
