Encounters in emergency departments and inpatient units for suicide attempts and ideation at children's hospitals have increased steadily from 2008 to 2015, researchers have found, reporting in the June issue of Pediatrics . The results mirror the increase in suicide and depression reported in children in outpatient settings.
