On June 16, a judge in Massachusetts found Michelle Carter, now 20, guilty of involuntary manslaughter based on text messages she sent to her 18‐year‐old long‐distance boyfriend urging him to commit suicide. Conrad Roy III died by suicide by inhaling carbon monoxide in his truck on July 13, 2014.
