Several studies on extremely preterm infants and links to problems in adolescents were published in Pediatrics , one in February of this year and one 10 years ago. Corresponding author for both studies, Aijaz Farooqi, M.D., Ph.D., medical director for neonatology in the Department of Child and Adolescent Medicine at Umeå University Hospital in Sweden, told CABL that the studies are very similar: outcomes in adolescent who were born at 23–25 weeks of gestation.
