A mock video game of pandemic outbreaks illustrates how scientists around the globe with various resources are tackling missions in the combat against Covid‐19. In their full paper, S. H. L. Verhelst et al. describe the development of an activity‐based probe to selectively detect the active Main protease of SARS‐CoV2. This probe is armed with a cysteine‐reactive acyloxymethyl ketone warhead and a substrate‐based peptide skeleton that allow it to detect the protease even in a complex human proteome.
