The inside cover picture shows a peptide array screen for transglutaminase (TG) substrates. The fluorescence spot intensities reflect the extent of crosslinking of a solute fluorescent acyl acceptor with an immobilized acyl donor. The tripeptide PQY is labeled, whereas YQP is not accepted as a substrate by microbial TG. For more details see the article by M. Pietzsch et al. on p. 1169 ff.
