Let it go: Virus‐like particles (VLPs) incorporating a peptide‐tag were constructed. Fluorescent dye molecules attached to nitrilotriacetic acid (NTA) were encapsulated within the VLPs as model drug molecules by using the affinity between a hexahistidine motif (His 6 ) and NTA. The model drug molecules were released under acidic conditions due to the protonation of histidines.
