One tag, two labels : Defects in protein prenylation lead to a number of serious diseases; here we show that an azide‐tagged substrate enables multilabel detection of defective protein geranylgeranylation by two geranylgeranyl transferases. Rapid in‐gel visualization and affinity purification have been demonstrated on recombinant proteins, cell lines, and mammalian disease models.
