Regulating RNA with light . An RNA aptamer capable of specifically binding one isomer of a photoisomerizable spiropyran small molecule was engineered. The reversibility of the light‐switchable aptamer recognition was then characterized by SPR imaging. This RNA–small molecule pair has significant implications in the light‐regulation of biological functions and the reversible control of gene expression.
