On the hunt . We have selected an antibody that specifically binds to an organized, mixed array of cholesterol and ceramide in monolayers at the air–water interface. The antibody recognized cholesterol–ceramide ordered domains by matching their organization in two and three dimensions. The concept is to characterize and subsequently use this type of structural antibodies as reporters of the presence of organized domains in cell membranes.
