Lithiated text ‐butylaminolfluorosilanes react with aluminum trichloride in ether, eliminating LiF to give AlCl 3 adducts of iminosilanes — aminosiliceniotrichloroaluminates {R 2 Si‐NCMe 3 ·AlCl 3 }, which thermally form the dimethylazomethine‐ aluminium trichloride, Me 2 CNH·AlCl 3 .
