The aminal Me 2 NCH 2 NMe 2 is doubly metalated by Li t Bu to give LiCH 2 N(Me)CH 2 N(Me)CH 2 Li, which reacts with chlorosilanes to afford the respective silylated species, including the six‐membered heterocycle Me 2 SiCH 2 N(Me)CH 2 N(Me)‐CH 2 and the spiroheterocycle Si[CH 2 N(Me)CH 2 N(Me)CH 2 ] 2 .
