Reaction of iron(II) chloride with one equivalent of [MeO‐(CH 2 CH 2 O) 3 (CH 2 ) 3 C 5 Me 4 ]Li in THF yields the title halfsand‐wich complex 1 , which is stable in solution up to room temperature. Compound 1 reacts with C 5 H 5 Li and CO to give [MeO(CH 2 CH 2 O) 3 (CH 2 ) 3 C 5 Me 4 ]Fe(C 5 H 5 ) (2) and [MeO‐(CH 2 CH 2 O) 3 (CH 2 ) 3 C 5 Me 4 ]Fe(CO) 2 CI ( 3 ), respectively, in high yields.
