On the Thermolysis of Amine‐ arachno ‐Nonaborane Two molecules of diethylamine‐ arachno ‐nonaborane, B 9 H 13 ‐(NHEt 2 ), undergo a condensation at 140°C to give diethylamine‐ conjuncto ‐bis[6′,5′:5,6]decaborane, B 18 H 20 (NHEt 2 ) (4). The deprotonation of 4 yields the anion [B 18 H 19 (NHEt 2 )]‐which can be crystallized with the cation [NEt 3 (CH 2 Ph)] + (space group P 1).
