Metal‐Containing Heterocycles: Preparation, Properties and Reactions, LXXXV [1] . – Consecutive Insertion and [2 + 2] Cycloaddition Reaction of Hexafluoro‐2‐butyne with an (η 2 ‐Thiophosphinito)cobalt complex Insertion of hexafluoro‐2‐butyne ( 2 ) into the Co—P bond of the (η 2 ‐thiosphosphinito)cobalt complex (OC) 2 Ph 3 PCo(η 2 ‐SPt 2 ) ( 1 ) and subsequent [2 + 2] cycloaddition to a second alkyne 2 results in the formation of the stable (η 3 ‐cyclobutenyl)cobalt complex 3 . According to an X‐ray structural analysis 3 crystallizes in the triclinic space group P 1 with Z = 2.
