The reaction of benzenehexamine ( 1 ), benzene‐1,2,3,4‐tetramine ( 4 ), and benzene‐1,2,4,5‐tetramine ( 6 ) with aryl isocyanate 2 afforded the corresponding hexakis( N '‐arylureido)benzene 3 and the tetrakis( N '‐arylureido)benzenes 5 and 7 . Pyrolysis of 3, 5 , and 7 at 400°C furnished the benzo‐triimidazoletrione 8 and benzo‐biimidazolediones 10 and 11 .
