A Further Contribution to the Stabilization of Iminoboranes RB≡NR' The iminoboranes ( t BuB≡NR ( 1a, b , R= i Pr, Ph) and RB≡NR ( 1c, d ; R=Me 3 CCH 2 , Me 3 SiCH 2 ) were prepared by gas‐phase thermolysis of Cl( t Bu)BN(R)SiMe 3 ( 6a, b ) and R 2 BN 3 ( 7c, d ), respectively. At room temperature, the molecules 1a–c cyclodimerize to the diazadiboretidines 2a–c , whereas the borane 1d cyclotrimerizes to the borazine 3d ; these stabilization reactions are discussed in terms of the steric demand of the organic ligands. The ethyloboration of 1a, c with BEt 3 BCl to 1a yields the diborylamine 9d . Benzyl azide and 1c, d undergo a [3 + 2] cycloaddition with formation of the tetrazaborolidines 10c, d .
