The complexes FeH 3 (PPh 2 R') 3 ER 3 (R' = n Bu: ER 3 = SnPh 3 , SiMePh 2 ; R' = Et: ER 3 = SnPh 3 ) were prepared by reaction of Fe(H) 2 (H 2 )(PPh 2 R') 3 with HSnPn 3 or HSiMePh 2 . The heavy‐atom skeleton of FeH 3 (PPh 2 Et) 3 SnPh 3 shows an approximate C 3 symmetry in the crystalline state and a nearly tetrahedral FeP 3 Sn core. However, the NMR spectra indicate the presence of Fe,H,Si(Sn) three‐center two‐electron bonds at low temperature in solution.
