Synthesis and X‐ray Structural Analysis of Airstable Bis[3‐(dimethylamino)propyl]indium Derivatives Pentacoordinate, intramolecularly base‐stabilized organoindium compounds [Me 2 N(CH 2 ) 3 ] 2 InBr ( 1 ), [Me 2 N(CH 2 ) 3 ] 2 InO 2 ‐CCF 3 ( 2 ) and [Me 2 N(CH 2 ) 3 ] 2 InOC 6 F 5 ( 3 ) as well as [Me 2 N‐(CH 2 ) 3 ] 2 InC 2 H 5 ( 4 ), [Me 2 N(CH 2 ) 3 ] 2 In( i ‐C 3 H 7 ) ( 5 ), and [Me 2 N‐(CH 2 ) 3 ] 2 In( t ‐C 4 H 9 ) ( 6 ) have been prepared by the reaction of indium tribromide with 3‐(dimethylamino)propyllithium and of bis[3‐(dimethylamino)propyl]indium chloride with NaO 2 C‐CF 3 , LiOC 6 F 5 , C 2 H 5 MgBr, i ‐C 3 H 7 MgBr, and t ‐C 4 H 9 Li, respectively. The 1 H‐, 13 C‐, 19 F‐NMR and mass spectra of the new compounds as well as the single‐crystal X‐ray structure analysis of 1 are described and discussed.
