Soluble Lanthanide Alkoxides with Low Coordination Numbers at the Metal Atom Nd[N(SiMe 3 ) 2 ] 3 (thf) 2 ( 1 ) reacts with tBu 3 COH ( 2 ) to give the monomeric lanthanide alkoxide (tritox) 3 Nd(thf) ( 3 ). The chloro‐bridged dimer [(tritox) 2 Nd(μ‐Cl)thf] 2 ( 6 ) is obtained by treatment of NdCl 3 (thf) 2 ( 4 ) with LiOCtBu 3 ( 5 ). The structure of 6 has been determined by X‐ray crystallography.
