A Novel PH‐Functional Diphosphadistannetane: ( t Bu 2 SnPH) 2 The reaction of t Bu 2 SnCl 2 with NaPH 2 in liquid ammonia yields the four‐membered ring compound ( t Bu 2 SnPH) 2 ( 1 ). The corresponding silyl compound, ( t Bu 2 SnPSiMe 3 ) 2 ( 2 ), is obtained by metallation of 1 with t BuLi and metathesis with Me 3 SiCL Both compounds are characterized by NMR analysis ( 1 H, 31 P, 119 Sn) and 1 by an X‐ray structure analysis; it reveals a planar heterocycle.
