β‐Hydroxydithiocinnamic Acid as Ligand. Palladium(I1) and Platinum(I1) Complexes of 2‐Benzoyl‐1,l‐ethenedithiolate. Crystal Structure Analysis of cis ‐{(Ph 3 P) 2 Pt[S 2 CCHC(O)C 6 H 5 ]} β‐Hydroxydithiocinnamic acid reacts with L 2 Mcl 2 (L = Et 3 P, Ph 3 P, 1/2 dppe; M = Pd, Pt) to yield 2‐benzoyl‐1,1‐ethenedithiolate complexes L 2 M[S 2 CCHC(O)C 6 H 5 ] ( 2a : L = Ph 3 P, M = Pd; 2b : L = Et 3 P, M = Pt; 2c : L = Ph 3 P, m = Pt; 2d : L = 1/2 dppe, M = Pt). The compounds 2a – 2d were characterized by their spectroscopic data (IR; 1 H, 13 C, 31 P NMR); the structure of 2c was determined by X‐ray diffraction. A fluid solution of 2c shows fluorescence.
