The reactions of Na(NC 4 H 4 ) with (C 5 H 5 ) 2 LuCl(THF) and (C 5 Me 5 ) 2 YCl(THF) result in the formation of the pyrrolyl complexes (C 5 H 5 ) 2 Lu(NC 4 H 4 ) ( 1 ) and (C 5 Me 5 ) 2 Y(NC 4 H 4 )(THF) ( 2 ), respectively. Na(NC 4 H 2 Me 2 ) reacts with (C 5 H 5 ) 2 LuCl(THF) to form (C 5 H 5 ) 2 Lu(NC 4 H 2 Me 2 (THF) ( 3 ). The 1 H‐ and 13 C‐NMR spectra of the new compounds as well as the X‐ray single‐crystal structure analysis of 3 are reported and discussed.
