The mechanisms of the deceptively similar gas‐phase chemistry of amine complexes RC(CH 3 ) 2 CH 2 NH 2 /M + (R = H, CH 3 M = Fe, Co, Ni) are uncovered by the use of deuterium‐labeled compounds. It is demonstrated that the details of CH/CC bond‐activation reactions are strongly metal‐ion‐dependent, as is the product distribution itself.
