Platinum(ZI), and Gold(1) Complexes of 1.3.4.6‐Tetra‐ O ‐acetyl‐2‐deoxy‐2‐isocyano‐α‐ D ‐glucose and ‐β‐ D ‐glucose Stable isocyanide complexes cis ‐Cl 2 Pd(CNR) 2 ( 2 ), cis ‐Cl 2 Pt(CNR) 2 ( 3 ), cis ‐Cl 2 Pt(PPh 3 )CNR ( 4 ), [ trans ‐(Ph 3 P) 2 Pt(Cl)CNR] + BF ‐ 4 ( 5 ), ClAuCNR ( 6 ), (OC) 5 CrCNR ( 7 ), (OC) 5 WCNR ( 8 ), (η 5 ‐C 5 Me 5 )Rh‐(CNR)Cl 2 ( 9 ), (η 5 ‐C 5 Me 5 )Ir(CNR)Cl 2 ( 10 ) of 1,3,4,6‐tetra‐ O ‐acetyl‐2‐deoxy‐2‐isocyano‐α(β)‐ D ‐glucose (CNR) as well as carbene complexes ClAuC(NHR')(NHR) ( 11, 12 ) and cis ‐Cl 2 Pt(PPh 3 )C‐(OR')NHR ( 13, 14 ) have been prepared and characterized by their IR and NMR spectra. The structure of 10 has been determined by X‐ray crystal structure analysis.
