A direct synthesis of iron(trimethyl phosphite) half‐sandwich complexes [η 5 ‐C 5 H 2 (SiMe 3 ) 3 ]Fe[P(OMe) 3 ] 2 X starting from FeX 2 (X = Cl, Br, I) and Li[η 5 ‐C 5 H 2 (SiMe 3 ) 3 ] is described. Their reactivity toward t BuMgCl and CO has been studied.
