N‐Substituted 1,3,2‐Dithiazoles – Precursors for 1,3,2‐Dithiazol‐2‐yl Radicals 2‐Arylsulfonyl‐1,3,2‐dithiazoles ( 4 ) are suitable starting materials for the synthesis of 1,3,2‐dithiazole‐2‐yl‐radicals by thermal or chemical cleavage reactions. Starting with silver dithiolato complexes or with 1,2‐dithioles, compounds of type 2 are formed by reaction with N , N ‐dichlorarylsulfonamides. This procedure allows the synthesis of even such representatives of 4 for which the corresponding disulfenyl chlorides are not accessible.
