1,1‐Dialkenyl‐ and 1,1‐Dialkynyl‐2,4,6‐triphenyl‐δ 5 ‐phosphnines The synthesis of 2,4,6‐triphenyl‐1,1‐bis[2‐phenyl‐( E )‐ethenyl]‐λ 5 ‐phosphinine ( 3 ) by aldol condensation of 1,1‐dimethyl‐2,4,6‐triphenyl‐λ 5 ‐phosphinine ( 1 ) with benzaldehyde is described. 1,1‐Dialkynyl‐2,4,6‐triphenyl‐λ 5 ‐phosphinines 4a,b are prepared from 1,1‐dihalo‐2,4,6‐triphenyl‐λ 5 ‐phosphinines and alkynyllithium. Addition of methylamine to 4a leads to 5 which with n ‐BuLi affords the spiro derivative 6 .
