2,6‐Bis( tert ‐butyldimethylsilyloxy)‐3,4‐dihydropyridine ( 2 ) is synthesized by double silylation of glutarimide ( 1 ). Diels‐Alder reactions of 2 with various dienophiles lead to the adducts 3a – c, 5 , and 7 . By hydrolysis of these compounds the new heterocycles 4a – c, 6 , and 8 are obtained.
