Synthesis and Structure of the Cationic Tetrahydrofuran Iron Complex [C 5 Me 5 (CO)(Me 3 P)(THF)F] + The reaction of C 5 Me 5 (CO)(Me 3 P)FeMe ( 1 ) with [Ph 3 C]PF 6 in THF leads to the complex salt [C 5 Me 5 (CO)(Me 3 P)(THF)Fe]PF 6 ( 2 ), which exchanges the THF ligand against Me 3 P under photochemical conditions to give [C 5 Me 5 (CO)(Me 3 P) 2 Fe]PF 6 ( 3 ).
