Mixed Sulfur Diimides Containing Phosphino and Arsino Substituents The symmetrically substituted sulfur diimides t Bu 2 ENSNE t Bu 2 (E = P ( 1a ), As ( 1b )) can be cleaved to give the mono‐potassium salts [ t Bu 2 ENSN]K (E = P ( 2a ), As ( 2b )). The salt 2a reacts with t Bu 2 AsCl providing the mixed sulfur diimide t Bu 2 PNSNAs t Bu 2 ( 3 ). Chalcogens such as sulfur, selenium, and tellurium add specifically at the phosphorus atom of 3 to form t Bu 2 P(Y)NSNA st Bu 2 (Y = S ( 4a ), Se ( 4b ), Te ( 4c )).
