Bicyclo[4.1.1]octa‐2,4‐dien‐7‐one The title compound 1 was prepared in four steps starting from bicyclo[4.1.1]oct‐2‐en‐7‐one ( 2 ). Acetalisation of 2 afforded 3 which was treated with iodobenzene dichloride to give 4 . After dehalogenation and cleavage of the acetal function in 5 ketone 1 is obtained.
