Transition Metal Ketene Compounds, XXII. Anionic η 2 ‐Ketenyl Complexes of Molybdenum and Tungsten Anionic η 2 ‐ketenyl complexes [NR 4 ′]{η 5 ‐C 5 H 5 (CO) (CN)M[η 2 ‐OCCR]} [M = molybdenum: 3a, b ; M = tungsten: 4a – c ] are formed by ligand substitution on neutral η 2 ‐ketenyl compounds as well as by reaction of dicarbonyl(η 5 ‐cyclopentadienyl)carbyne complexes with tetraalkylammonium cyanides.
