Reactive Platinum Complexes with α‐Amino Acid Derivatives and their 31 P‐ and 15 N Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Spectra The α‐amino acidate chelate complexes ( n ‐Bu 3 P)(Cl)⊓PtNH 2 CH(R)COO ( 1a – c ) (R = H, CH 3 , CHMe 2 ) react with thionyl chloride, phosphorus pentachloride, or acetyl chloride by cleavage of the chelate ring to give complexes with α‐amino acyl chloride or acetic glycine anhydride as ligands: ( n ‐Bu 3 P)Cl 2 Pt(NH 2 CH 2 COCl) ( 2 ), ( n ‐Bu 3 P)Cl 4 Pt(NH 2 CH(CHMe 2 )COCl) ( 6 ), ( n ‐Bu 3 P)‐Cl 2 Pt(NH 2 CH 2 CO(O)OCCH 3 ) ( 4 ). Using 15 N enriched amino acids, the IR, 15 N and 31 P NMR spectra indicate cis orientation of phosphane and amino groups in all these complexes.
