Reactions with Phosphine Alkylenes, XLIII. A General Synthesis for α‐Branched β‐Ketocarboxylic Acid Anilides α‐Acylphosphonium ylides 5 react with phenylisocyanate ( 7 ) with formation of α‐acylketeneimines 8 which can be hydrolysed to α‐branched β‐ketocarboxylic acid anilides 9 .
