Formation of Isomers in the Reaction of Benzofurazan N ‐Oxides with Phenolate Anions Benzofurazan 1‐oxide 1 reacts with 4‐aminophenol in the presence of NaOCH 3 to form the isomeric phenazine 5,10‐dioxides 3 , which are reduced to phenazines 4 .
