Contributions to the Chemistry of Boron, 125. An Adduct of 4,6‐Dibromo‐1,2,3,5,4,6‐tetrathiadiborinane with 1,2,3‐Trimethyl‐1,3,2‐diazaborolidine The exchange of substituents between 3,5‐dibromo‐1,2,4,3,5‐trithiadiborolane ( 1 ) and 1,2,3‐trimethyl‐1,3,2‐diazaborolidine ( 2 ) proceeds via formation of adducts as indicated by tetracoordinated boron atoms but definite products could not be isolated. However, a well defined crystalline adduct was obtained in low yield using aged and somewhat impure 1 . X‐ray analysis showed it to be a 1:1 adduct 6 between 2 and the new heterocycle 4,6‐dibromo‐1,2,3,5,4,6‐tetrathiadiborinane containing tetracoordinate boron atoms exclusively.
