Stereospecific Preparation of ( Z ‐ and ( E )‐Isomers, Respectively, of Some Vinyl Fluorides By means of the addition of “BrF”, prepared in situ from N ‐bromosuccinimide and the hydrogen fluoride‐pyridine complex 5) , to the isomeric olefins ( Z )‐and( E )‐ 1a – c and elimination of hydrogen bromide from the resulting threo ‐ and erythro‐bromofluorides 2a – c by KOH 2,9 , the ( Z )‐ and ( E )‐vinyl fluorides 3a – c are obtained in a stereospecific manner.
