Simple Synthesis of Nortricyclyl Chloride In the presence of titanium tetrachloride the mixture of 5‐ exo ‐chloro‐2‐norbornene ( 2 ) and nortricyclyl chloride ( 3 ), obtained by HCl addition to norbornadiene ( 1 ), reacts completely to form 3 . Thus, a simple synthesis of 3 is possible for the first time.
