Organometallic Compounds, VII 1) Mild and Efficient Deoxygenation of sulfoxides by Means of the System Chlorotrimethylsilane/Zinc Aliphatic, Cycloaliphatic, and aromatic sulfoxides are readily deoxygenated by treatment with the system chlorotrimethylsilane/zinc. Reaction conditions are extremely mild, yields of products are good.
