Synthesis of Benzyl 4‐ O ‐benzyl‐2,6‐dideoxy‐α‐ and ‐β‐ D ‐ arabino ‐hexopyranoside Starting with the glucosane derivative 1 a convenient synthetic sequence for the preparation of both the benzyl protected 2,6‐dideoxy‐ D ‐ arabino ‐hexopyranose anomers 10 and 11 is presented.
