Transition Metal Substituted Phosphanes, Arsanes and Stibanes, XXI. Dicarbonyl(μ 5 ‐cyclopentadienyl)(dimethylarsenido)iron and μ‐(Dimethylarsonio)‐bis[dicarbonyl(μ 5 ‐cyclopentadienyl)iron] Chloride Cp(CO) 2 FeAsMe 2 ( 1 ) is obtained in moderate to good yields by the reaction of Me 2 AsCl with Kat[Fe(CO) 2 Cp] (Kat = Na, MeP(n‐Bu) 3 ) together with [Me 2 As] 2 and the arsonium chloride {[Cp(CO) 2 Fe] 2 AsMe 2 }Cl ( 2 ). For the salt‐like product the mechanism of formation is proved. 1 is generated in quantitative yield via transmetallation of Cp(CO) 3 Mo – AsMe 2 with [Cp(CO) 2 Fe]Na.
