Organic Tellurium Compounds, IV: An Improved Synthesis of Tellurophene Tellurophene ( 1 ) is synthesized in good overall yields in an improved synthesis using bis(trimethylsilyl)‐1,3‐butadiyne and sodium telluride generated in situ from tellurium and sodium formaldehyde sulfoxylate.
